Strawberry Fields

On Sunday we went to a place where they let you go around picking strawberries and eating them. Mummy and Daddy seemed to be putting them in a little plastic basket most of the time but that didn't seem as much fun!!!

We did take some home along with some raspberries and Daddy has made some jam which he says I am going to enjoy eating in the future.

Hi Poppy - I had my first go at making stawberry jam. Happened along the market one Saturday as they were closing ending up with three large punnets for a £1. Said to the lady could not eat this lot so she gave me instructions to make jam, said very easy. Equal quantities jam and sugar, some lemon juice and boil until sets. Turned out very successful. Gave some to Gwen when she was not well and she really enjoyed it. She said it was a "conserve" rather than jam. Luv, Gran xxx

Hi Poppy - was just passing a comment about your new cot which you were playing with and seems to have gone from the blog. You really seemed to be enjoying it.

Auntie Sarah had a lovely 19th Birthday. Six of us for lunch at Tony's bar in the High Street, then barbeque drinks food in evening 25 of her friends came. They stayed in the garden so pleased it was a nice evening. A couple stayed overnight. Think Sarah rather tired today.
Sarah looking forward to seeing you and meeting Maisie, though not sure when that will be as she has managed to get work at Polhill.
    Luv, Gran Haynes X
