Brrrr - It's a cold Christmas

Today we went to Hengistbury Head. We got there early and when we arrived the land train hadn't started running so we walked around the head.

We were the only people in the cafe and I enjoyed my chocolate milk.

We finished our drinks in time to catch the train back to the car park. I looked after the tickets to make sure they didn't get lost so we would have to walk back!

On the way home we bought some icicle lights that were in the sale which Daddy said he was really looking forward to trying to put up outside the house next Christmas - I'm not sure he really meant it though!

Christmas Presence

Merry Christmas everyone! This year I actually had so many presents to open that it took two whole days.

Grandma, Grandad and Auntie Jayne came down on Christmas day to help me get through them all.

Amongst my pressies, Santa brought me this kitchen from Mummy and Daddy...

..and this piano from Auntie Jayne and Uncle Adrian.

My new dolly hasn't learnt how to play it yet!

Stop!

Mummy thought it would be nice to have a photo of the "birthday boy"!

Train to Santa's Grotto

Today was Daddy's birthday so Mummy and I decided to take him to see Santa as a treat. We went to Exbury where they have a "Santa Special" steam train to take you to his Grotto.

As soon as I got on the train I got a chocolate coin which I thoroughly enjoyed eating. We sang Christmas songs as the train went along including my favourite - jingle bells!

Half way round I thought I spotted some reindeer...

I did - look that girl is talking to one.
I think Mummy enjoyed meeting the reindeer as she insisted on having her photo taken.

Finally the big moment came and I got to meet Santa Claus.

I told him what I wanted for Christmas and he told me I had to be good and leave a carrot for Rudolph on Christmas Eve.

At the end he gave me a jiggling Ladybird book for being such a good girl which I opened before I even got out of the Grotto!!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today it was Grandma and Grandad Wardle's Ruby wedding anniversary. I'm told they have been married for 40 years!! We went for a meal with them and Auntie Jayne and Uncle Adrian.

As we live quite a way from them we met up at a restaurant in Abingdon.

The table was set up with lots of party things when we arrived and I discovered that I have a talent for party blowers!!!

Christmas Lights

Haven't we decorated the outside of the house well this year?

Ok, so it's not our house - tonight we went for a walk down to Byron Road as we do every year. Most of the street is decorated and it's all in aid of charity.

I particularly enjoyed the dancing snowman who was nearly as tall as Daddy. I was lucky that when I was dancing with him a lady came out of the house and gave me some presents!!!

Told you...

Here's a picture of the Christmas wreath that we made with the holly we collected last week. Unfortunately the weather is horrible today so I'm stuck indoors. Tomorrow we are going for a meal to celebrate Grandma and Grandad's 40th wedding anniversary - so let's hope it's a bit nicer out!

My Cousin Amy

Auntie Manda had a baby on 30th November so on Friday mum and I went to visit them and Uncle Gary. I love baby Amy. We also visited Great Gran Marge. I made her read a story to me.

Holly Gathering

Daddy had the day off today and in the afternoon we went looking for holly in the Forest as we are going to have a go at making a Christmas Wreath this year. If it is a success, I'll make Daddy blog a picture.

I really enjoyed seeing the ponies but about two minutes after this picture was taken it absolutely bucketed it down!
